Agreement
By downloading, purchasing, or using Modocus, you agree to these terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If they conflict, the Apple Standard EULA and applicable law control. Do not use Modocus or a paid service if you do not agree.
Service and accounts
Modocus provides local-first task management plus optional deeper Pro features and AI services. No Modocus account is required. You are responsible for your device, Apple ID, your own API keys, network connection, lawful content, and backups. Attachments are included in Free.
Free and Pro
Free includes unlimited core task management, with no quantity limit on tasks, projects, or attachments. Pro is a one-time, non-consumable App Store purchase that permanently unlocks deeper features for the same Apple ID, including time insights, review automation, adherence analytics, bulk entry, and use of your own API keys. Pro does not include network AI usage paid for by Modocus.
Pro+
Pro+ is a monthly auto-renewable App Store subscription. It includes every Pro feature while active; after it ends, only users who purchased Pro separately retain those features. Each StoreKit billing period includes 400 user-initiated AI operations, with voice input limited to 90 seconds per operation. One user action counts once; internal tool calls and system retries do not consume additional operations, and unused operations do not roll over. The App Store shows the local price and period before purchase.
Renewal, cancellation, and refunds
Pro+ renews automatically unless you cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues through the paid period. Apple handles charging, renewal, refunds, revocation, and purchase restoration, and refund eligibility follows Apple policy. The related network service may stop after a refund or revocation. Cancelling Pro+ does not affect a separately purchased Pro entitlement. Your local tasks, attachments, notes, backups, and exports are not deleted when a subscription ends.
AI use and output
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable and is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Verify output before relying on it or applying it to important information. You may not use AI services unlawfully, infringe rights, bypass allowances, probe systems without authorization, or automate resale of the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee that network features will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. AI providers and models may change for quality, reliability, compliance, and cost. We will not reduce a sold period allowance through hidden daily limits or duplicate charging. Future price, feature, or allowance changes affect later purchases or renewals under App Store rules and will be disclosed where required.
Your content and privacy
You retain rights in your content and authorize Modocus and relevant services to process selected content only to fulfill features you actively request. You represent that you have the right to process and submit that content. The Privacy Policy explains data paths, anonymous operational metrics, and retention. You are responsible for maintaining backups and reviewing every proposed change before applying an AI suggestion.
Liability, suspension, and contact
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modocus is provided as is; limitations on liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages follow the Apple Standard EULA and applicable law. We may suspend related network services for serious abuse, system harm, or unlawful use, but will not use suspension to withhold your local data or legally required export access.
